Why the future of computational AI can happen on BSV 👇 CME is listing compute futures now, so compute is essentially keyed as a commodity and rn thru like 3 vendors, its not decentralized at all, 3 places to run AI and they charge you monthly, so we're all currently in the extraction flow. All of us at the mercy of who has to be verified, what gets logged/sold to the gov or other institutions etc. If regs hit cloud compute or a "cyber attack" lands, it would ruin what you can think of as the current spot market. (but, the capacity to break those 3 up already exists and sit idle.) Capable GPUs are in spare rooms, small studios, uni labs and DCs.... none selling inference rn. Local 4090s serve inference fine, but selling it means a business: an account system, identity, a payout pipeline, invoicing, a support desk, etc. The apparatus costs more than the HW earns, so it all stays dark. What SV breaks is that every payment rail has a floor (the cost of moving money). Below it nothing is tradeable, because paying destroys more value than it xfers. On ETH the floor is enormous... dollars. On CC rails its % + an account/settlement window and chargeback. So all these current AI companies quote a ceiling in dollars, charge it, and keep the rest. On SV the floor can sit beneath the change (which means software paying for its own inference, call by call, with no human.) It only works on a chain where paying a fraction of a cent doesn't cost more than the thing you're buying, that means SV and nowhere else. We just built a market on Janus Compute in closed beta. Providers post a rate card as a UTXO on a BSV overlay. Buyers pay per request over HTTP 402 with a BRC-100 wallet, get charged for the tokens they actually used, and the rest comes back. No custodial hop in between. No signup, no minimum, nobody holding your money. If and when Claude goes belly up, there will be an entire peer-to-peer local AI spot market hardened for permeance, where you can dust off your clanker and earn. More soon.
I'm very unworried about Claude-powered dystopia... https://t.co/Iz6TWdsXPf
